Privacy Notice

Last updated September 25, 2026

This Notice describes the personal information BEECLAT collects in the hive, how we use it for matching, sessions, and billing, and the rights you can exercise.

1. Scope

This Privacy Notice explains how BEECLAT collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information when you use the Service. It is part of your agreement with us, together with the Terms of Use.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Candidates, Advisors, and visitors are all covered, except where we say otherwise.

2. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), role (candidate or advisor), candidate number, and sign-in events.
  • Mobile number, only if you opt in to session text reminders. This number is for texts about confirmed mocks. It is never placed on a CV.
  • Profile and career data you choose to give: headline, target roles, experience, education, skills, timezone, LinkedIn URL, and imported LinkedIn or CV text.
  • Files you upload, such as a CV or a printed LinkedIn PDF. Do not include a home street address or personal phone number on those files. Give a mobile number for texts on Account if you want session reminders.
  • Billing data: plan, invoices, last four digits and brand of a card, and processor references. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored by BEECLAT.
  • Donation data if you give through BEECLAT Gives: name, email, gift amounts, whether you covered the card fee, optional note, anonymous flag, receipt number, and payment-processor references.
  • Session data: bookings, attendance, written feedback, messages, and, where enabled, recordings or transcripts.
  • Technical data: device, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, cookies, and log files.
  • Support communications you send us.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and secure your hive or advisor desk.
  • Match you with Advisors and run checkout, subscriptions, and credits.
  • Deliver mocks, CV reviews, modules, Advanced Analysis, and written feedback.
  • Parse optional LinkedIn or CV uploads so you type less.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and failed payments.
  • Improve matching, quality, and safety, including with BEECLAT intelligence, which is powered by Grok from our partner xAI.
  • Send service email (receipts, schedule changes, security, donation receipts and later campaign reports). If you opt in, send day-of and about-one-hour session texts. Marketing email, if any, will include an unsubscribe. Reply STOP on a session text to opt out.
  • Comply with law and enforce the Terms.

4. BEECLAT intelligence, powered by Grok from xAI

BEECLAT intelligence is the name of our optional automated tools. BEECLAT intelligence partners with xAI. Those tools are powered by Grok, xAI’s model. We may send limited profile text, a document you upload, a practice answer, or a photo you ask us to polish to xAI so Grok can extract experience, suggest Advisors, polish a headshot you request, draft practice aids, or return Advanced Analysis on an Advanced module answer. That processing is only to provide the feature you asked for. Do not put secrets, passwords, health diagnoses, government ID numbers, or another person’s private information into uploads or answer boxes.

When you use BEECLAT intelligence, the question, your typed answer, your specialty, or the file you submitted may be sent to xAI. Short notes that come back may be stored for that lesson, review, or report. They are not a hiring file, not an employer score, and not a decision that you were accepted or rejected. Grok can misbehave or misrepresent: it can be wrong, incomplete, biased, offensive, or unsuitable. You should review every note and ignore what does not fit. BEECLAT does not adopt the model’s output as its own statement, and we do not use it to make a legally binding decision about you. BEECLAT is not your employer. xAI is a processor for this feature, not a party to your account, and not your advisor. How often each tool may run is set out in Section 10 of the Terms of Use.

To the fullest extent the law allows, BEECLAT is not responsible for Grok’s errors, omissions, hallucinations, bias, outages, or misrepresentations, or for any decision you make because of BEECLAT intelligence output, including words you later put on a CV or say to an employer. If you need a human review, use the Beester path described in the Terms. This notice explains the processing. It is not a warranty that the model is accurate.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Advisors you book, so they can prepare and write feedback. They must not use your materials off-platform except for your session.
  • Payment processors (Stripe) to complete a charge.
  • Infrastructure, email, and SMS processors, and xAI, which powers BEECLAT intelligence with Grok and is bound to use that data only to provide the feature you asked for. Session texts, if you opted in, are sent through Twilio.
  • Professional advisors, or a buyer, if we reorganize or sell the business, under continued confidentiality.
  • Law enforcement or others when we believe disclosure is required by law or to protect someone from serious harm.

Staff (“Beesters”) may access accounts to operate billing, safety, and support.

6. Sessions and recordings

By booking or joining a live mock you consent to session metadata and, where used, recording or transcription for feedback, quality, disputes, and safety. Recordings are not public. We keep them only as long as needed for those purposes, then delete or archive them under our retention rules.

Do not record another person in violation of applicable two-party consent laws. Texas is generally a one-party consent state for recordings, but other states and countries differ. You are responsible for the laws that apply to you.

7. CVs and sensitive data

CVs often contain more personal data than we need. You agree not to upload a home street address or personal phone number on a CV. If you want session text reminders, add a mobile number on Account and opt in there — never on the CV. If you upload a street address or phone on a CV, we may delete or redact the file.

Candidates are not asked to upload a government ID during ordinary onboarding. Advisors who apply are asked for a photo or scan of a current driver’s license or state ID, described in Government identification for Advisors below.

Government identification for Advisors

If you apply to coach, we require a clear photograph or scanned PDF of your current U.S. driver’s license or state ID. We use it only so Beesters can confirm that the person applying is the person on the application.

The file is stored with your advisor application. It is not published on Find advisors, is not emailed to candidates, and is not sent to BEECLAT intelligence or to xAI. Only signed-in Beesters who review applications can open it.

On a phone you may take the photo in the application. On a computer you upload a file. You can replace it before you submit. We keep it while the application and advisor relationship are open, and for a limited time afterward if we need it for fraud, safety, or a legal hold. You may ask us to delete it by emailing legal@beeclat.com. We may need to keep a copy if the law requires it or if a review is still open.

Introduction video for Advisors

If you apply to coach, you record a short video of yourself in our studio before you submit. You introduce yourself and answer the questions shown on the screen. You may record up to three times. The third recording locks and cannot be replaced. That locked recording, or the latest one if you submit before three, is part of your application.

The camera uses the same advisor studio look as a live mock: your image is cropped and placed on the BEECLAT advisor background. The recording includes your picture and your voice. Beesters play it only to decide whether to approve your application. It is not published on Find advisors, is not shown to candidates, and is not sent to BEECLAT intelligence or to xAI.

We keep the video while the application and advisor relationship are open, and longer if we need it for fraud, safety, a dispute, or a legal hold. You may ask us to delete it by emailing legal@beeclat.com. We may need to keep a copy if the law requires it or if a review is still open.

Advisor bank details

If you coach, we collect the bank name, the name on the account, the account type, the routing number, and the account number so we can pay you by ACH. Those numbers stay in your advisor file. Beesters who run payroll can see them. They are not published, not shown to candidates, and not sent to BEECLAT intelligence or to xAI.

You may replace that account from Account on your advisor desk. We email a one-time security code to the email on the account. The new account is not saved until you enter the code. We keep a record of the change: the date, the bank name, the account type, and the last four digits of the old and new account. Full numbers stay only on the current pay file. If you did not request a change, do not enter the code, and email legal@beeclat.com.

We keep bank details while the advisor relationship is open, and longer if we need them for a pay dispute, tax, fraud check, or legal hold.

8. Cookies and sign-in

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar storage for sign-in, load balancing, security, and remembering this choice. In some preview environments a sign-in token is kept in session storage because third-party cookies are restricted. Clearing site data will sign you out.

Optional cookies (performance, functional, and targeting) stay off until you allow them in Cookie settings, also called the Privacy Preference Center. You can change that choice anytime from the footer. We do not sell personal information for ads.

9. Retention and security

We keep account, billing, and session records for as long as the account is open and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, dispute, and legal holds. You may request deletion as described below; some records must be kept if the law requires it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for your password.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denial. Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email legal@beeclat.com from the address on your account and tell us what you want us to do. We will verify the request. Authorized agents may be asked for proof of authority.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined. If that changes, we will update this Notice and offer any required opt-out.

11. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child used the Service, contact legal@beeclat.com and we will delete the account.

12. Where information is processed

We operate in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different privacy laws than your home country.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on the Service or emailed when required. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

14. Contact

Privacy and legal requests: legal@beeclat.com. BEECLAT operates from Texas, United States. If we designate a formal registered agent or mailing address, it will be listed on this page.

15. Donations

If you donate through BEECLAT Gives we keep your name, email, amounts, fee choice, and receipt so we can thank you, send the summer campaign report, and keep an honest ledger. Admins use this data to export reports. We do not publish your name on the public tracker. If you mark the gift anonymous, staff still see the email so we can send your receipt and the campaign report, but we will not list your name on internal donor-facing summaries we share outside the company.

Payment card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored by BEECLAT. Donation records are kept as long as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and campaign reporting.
